Hog hunts are archery only. We have stands set
up to accommodate bow hunters. Most of the
stands are tripods, approximately 10 to 12 feet
above ground. For the hunters who are
uncomfortable climbing into a tripod, or those who
are hunting with a youth, we have ground blinds
available. You can also bring your own tent blinds
or tripods. You can hunt in stands or hunt & stalk
day or night.

San Saba Ranch
(Hunt with Ollie) For the hunters who like
excitement and want some extra meat. We
offer "hunt with the dogs" after the morning
hunts. Lay down your bows & arrows and get
out the knives. It is the same thing when we
are looking for the wounded ones. We catch
and hold them & you stick them in the heart.
This hunt requires a bit of running. If you want
this hunt tell the ranch owner the night
before, so he can gather the dogs around
9am. If we catch it you must take the meat.
Remember to be careful with the knives.
Traditional bow hunter takes largest boar hog killed in 2011. (225 lbs)
